Community Book Pledge Project

As part of our latest community support project, we are working in partnership with Jade Field (Independent Usborne Organiser with Usborne Books at Home) to increase access to books for those in need within the local Derby area.

The First beneficiary of our Community Book Pledge Project is Creative Day Care Limited, an organisation which provides day care to adults with educational disabilities.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic struck, the activities that Creative Day Care’s group has had access to have been severely affected and those they support have faced long periods of isolation from friends and their normal routines. The closing of local libraries has resulted in the group having very limited access to books which could otherwise play a key role in enhancing the lives of those they support.

We therefore invite you to make a small donation to assist us in buying books for the group to increase access to reading resources at their Day Care Centre.

We are aiming to collect £300 in donations to put together book bundles to create a small library within the Centre.

All businesses supporting us will receive acknowledgement on our Community Sponsors Page and can also request a donor’s poster to proudly display at their workplace.

I do hope you will take part in this scheme with us, which will help those assisted by Creative Day Care Limited to appreciate the value of books and benefits that they bring.

If you’d like to give a donation, please contact us.
